Departments and Degrees

Industrial Design has been a part of the College of Fine Arts for over thirty years now. During this time, there have been major efforts to develop this sector of design in the University of Tehran. The School of Industrial Design benefits from a dedicated workshop (wood, metal, plastics and glass), ergonomy, lighting and colour laboratories and collaborations with other schools of design in Iran and abroad. Among the many achievements of this school are coming first place in the design of Sorena III Humanoid Robot, designing solar automobiles and ranking top ten in Car Design News (just after Germany's Pforzheim).
